Day13 Time to travel home
Back to the tour
| Time to go home. We had to be at the
airport for 9am after our last experience we thought we would leave early and then
relax at the airport. We left the hotel at 8am for the 20 minute ride, drove
straight into morning rush hour, which is not a very good name for sitting still in
traffic, and arrived at the airport at 9.15am. The booking in system at Chinese
airports is poor and the conditions at Beijing International were very cramped.
Before you can check in you have to pay your airport tax, 90Yuan, by queing in a seperate
area. Having paid and recieved the tax slip you then had to go through immigration
checks before reaching the check in desks. What a relief it was to get rid of those
suitcases and relax before our flight. A great adventure had come to an end.
We have made many new friends and have many good, and not so good, memories of
China, but the best will be remembering how we achieved the cycling bit! Thanks to
